Transforming Bodies. Nurturing Balance. Thriving Together.

Welcome to Thrive and Shine Women's Wellness Pilates classes, led by a qualified physiotherapist trained in Modified Clinical Pilates. Our classes offer a holistic approach to improving your physical and mental well-being, with exercises tailored to all levels and adapted for individuals, including those recovering from injuries. You'll benefit from personalised guidance and the freedom to progress at your own pace.

Why Pilates?

Pilates is more than just a form of exercise; it's a holistic approach to improving your overall well-being. It focuses on strengthening your core, enhancing flexibility, and promoting mind-body connection. Here are some of the benefits you can expect from our Pilates classes:

  • Core Strength: Pilates exercises target your deep core muscles, helping you achieve a strong and stable core.

  • Improved Flexibility: By working on stretching and lengthening your muscles, Pilates can increase your flexibility and range of motion.

  • Posture Enhancement: Pilates promotes proper alignment and posture, reducing the risk of discomfort and injury caused by poor posture.

  • Stress Reduction: The mindful aspect of Pilates can help reduce stress, improve mental clarity, and boost overall mental well-being.

  • Enhanced Balance: Pilates exercises challenge your balance and coordination, leading to improved stability and body awareness.

  • Elevated Sports performance: Pilates can help boost your sports performance by increasing your strength, flexibility, and overall body control. Whether you're an athlete or enjoy recreational sports, Pilates can enhance your physical capabilities, giving you an edge in your chosen activities.

Testimonial

Thoroughly recommend Bobby's Pilates classes. She offers different levels to each exercise to suit all abilities and her background in Physiotherapy means she can advise and adapt to take into account injuries and medical conditions. I really enjoy the classes and they compliment the other exercise routines I have.

Testimonial

I went to see Roberta for some 1:1 pilates sessions to help my lower back pain. Roberta was very knowledgeable and put me at ease straight away and has since given me lots of excercises I can now do on my own at home, specifically tailored to my individual needs. Would definitely recommend!

Frequently Asked Questions

What do I need to wear?

Wear loose fitting or stretchy clothes you can move freely in. It can be a good idea to have socks with grips or bare foot.

What do I need to bring?

If you are attending a Matwork session you need to bring a mat and a towel to use as a cushion. A bottle of water is also advised.

Is Pilates suitable for me?

Pilates is suitable for the majority of people. If you have Osteoporosis or a medical conditions please contact me to ensure you are safe to join the classes. If you have an injury it is recommended to have a 1:1 session first to ensure correct technique.

What if I can't make a class?

Unfortunately Matwork classes are paid up for the half term and so you would lose the class. If I have space you may switch to a different class that week. Chair classes are paid monthly but if you are on unable to attend you may book off 1 week at the start of the month.
