Physio-Led Pilates Classes
in Winscombe, North Somerset
At Thrive and Shine Women’s Wellness, we offer small-group Pilates classes in Winscombe, North Somerset, designed to support real people through every stage of life.
Whether you’re managing menopause symptoms, recovering after pregnancy, building strength after injury, or simply wanting to move better and feel stronger, our Matwork and Chair Pilates sessions provide safe, effective movement guided by an experienced Pilates instructor and physiotherapist.
While many of our clients are women, our classes are open to both men and women, and we welcome all levels and abilities. With a focus on posture, strength, flexibility, and balance, each class is adapted to suit the needs of the people in the room.
Pilates offers so much more than core strength and flexibility — it’s a whole-body approach to moving well, managing stress, and supporting your body through life’s changes.
Whether you’re dealing with joint pain, menopausal symptoms, fatigue, or postnatal recovery, Pilates gives you the tools to move with more ease, awareness, and strength.
Core Strength and Stability
Strengthen your deep core muscles to support better posture, balance, and injury prevention — especially helpful for postnatal bodies and menopausal joint support.
Flexibility and Joint Mobility
Gentle stretching and controlled movement help improve flexibility and ease stiffness in hips, shoulders, and backs.
Improved Posture & Alignment
Pilates helps you sit, stand, and move with better awareness and alignment — ideal for easing back pain and tension from daily life.
Better Balance & Body Control
Improve coordination, reduce your risk of falls, and feel more confident in how you move — particularly valuable as we age or recover from injury.
Stress Relief & Mental Clarity
The mindful, breath-led nature of Pilates supports your nervous system, helping you feel calmer, more grounded, and present.
Support for Everyday Activities or Sport
Whether you’re lifting kids, running errands, or playing tennis, Pilates builds the strength and control to help you move well in daily life.
With options for all levels, our classes are welcoming to both men and women. You don’t need to be flexible or experienced — just ready to reconnect with your body.
You don’t need to be flexible, fit, or experienced to benefit from Pilates. Our classes are designed for real people — with real lives, busy schedules, and bodies that sometimes ache, shift, or need extra support.
Whether you're looking to rebuild strength, ease tension, or simply move in a way that feels good again, you’re in the right place.
Our sessions may be especially helpful if you’re:

Recovering postnatally– whether weeks or years after birth, Pilates can help you reconnect with your core and pelvic floor safely
Living with joint pain, fatigue, or hypermobility– gentle, adaptable sessions help you build strength without burnout
An older adult– wanting to stay steady on your feet, improve balance, and maintain everyday independence.

Thoroughly recommend Bobby's Pilates classes. She offers different levels to each exercise to suit all abilities and her background in Physiotherapy means she can advise and adapt to take into account injuries and medical conditions. I really enjoy the classes and they compliment the other exercise routines I have.

I went to see Roberta for some 1:1 pilates sessions to help my lower back pain. Roberta was very knowledgeable and put me at ease straight away and has since given me lots of excercises I can now do on my own at home, specifically tailored to my individual needs. Would definitely recommend!
